The Island of Hoy Development Trust and the Health and Well-Being Coordinator have been working hard to secure funding for the residents of Hoy and Walls to support those in need during the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are pleased to present the Hoy Community Larder Service, funded by the Scottish Government Supporting Communities Fund and administered by HIE.

For those who are experiencing genuine hardship and fulfil the criteria, goods will be delivered to your home at no charge to assist in feeding and supporting you and your families. For further information, please download the Community Larder form.

In addition to this service, for those experiencing genuine hardship and fulfil the criteria, we have also secured funding from the Scottish Government Well-Being Fund which is administered by the Corra Foundation (#wellbeingfund), to establish our Hoy Community Coronavirus Support Fund.

Each person in your household may be entitled to £10 per week up to the value of £50 per household, per week, in cash payments which will assist in purchasing shopping. This will be paid directly into your bank account. For further information, please download the Community Coronavirus Support Fund form.

Those in receipt of pension credit may also be eligible for either or both of the support services.

All information will be kept strictly confidential and your details will not be shared.
