Island of Hoy Development Trust is looking to recruit Relief Bus Drivers for our community transport service, the role is to provide cover for holidays and sickness as required and has the potential to involve weekend work.
The successful candidate must be over 21 and have held a full, clean driving license for at least two years. Experience of driving larger vehicles preferred and Midas certification an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.
The purpose of the role is to deliver community transport in accordance with the laid down rules governing the delivery of a community bus service working as part of a team. Ensure that passengers have a friendly, on-time service, implemented to a professional standard. Ensure passenger safety by ensuring all safety checks are up to date and process reports for the on-going internal evaluation of the community bus service. Contribute to the effective and efficient management of the bus community bus service.
