Office Assistant – Part Time
Pay: £9.90 per hour – 15 hours per week
The Island of Hoy Development Trust is seeking to appoint an office assistant to provide administrative support to the Finance and Administration Manager and the Assistant Finance & Administration Officer and aid the day to day operation of the Trusts’ office. The position will be based at the Trusts’ office in Longhope.
Due to the nature of the post, it is a requirement that the applicant be resident on the island of Hoy and Walls.
The successful candidate will be expected to have good IT skills to include the use of email, along with a pleasant telephone manner and ability to work as part of a team. A knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access database and social media would be an advantage. Training will be provided where appropriate.
Normal hours will be:
Tuesday 10.00 – 15.00
Wednesday 10.00 – 15.00
Friday 10.00 – 15.00
Hours will be variable for the first month to enable working alongside other staff and for training.
Hours worked may be required to be flexible, but within agreement to help manage peaks and troughs that occur.
